Every semester I have used my nieces to to help me with my homework, but this semester Sadie Rose has been my ultimate guinea pig. She just turned 5 in February and is the perfect age for all of these assignments that I need to complete for Emergent Lit. I have so much fun, and I think that she does too, well I know that she likes getting a cookie or a hot chocolate out of it!
Yesterday was different, and our time together lasted longer then usual. I pick her up after school and then I get to have her till 3. So two hours of just us. I love it. Well yesterday was Ash Wednesday, so lent had officially started so there is no cookies or hot cocoa and Sadie was fine. We went to a different place to do our work, the Panhandle State Bank. This is a huge building in Sandpoint, built a few years ago and when you walk in there is a very nice fountain, and Sadie loved it. We had a blast reading books by the water, she also loved going in and out of the moving doors. (the ones that go in circles) We accomplished our reading then moved on to our next stop. Home, well my home Grandma and Grampas. We made a fire, she got to bunch up paper and use the long match to light the paper and it started right away! Then we cuddled up stairs and watched a movie. It was so much fun.
When it was time to go to mass for Ash Wednesday, Sadie let me hold her for most of the mass! I just love it. She is such a little snuggle Bunnie, well all of the girls are but Sadie does it so well. And I know that I won't be able to hold her much longer for she is getting so big. I treasure the hours that I get to spend with each of the girls for I know when I was growing up spending time with an Aunt or Uncle by yourself was really special. I just lover her to death and am so thankful that I have her to help me with my homework or else I would be sunk.
